This month I was honoured to deliver my talk about Andrew Wyeth to the directors, curators and staff at the Brandywine River Museum of Art, Chadds Ford, in Pennsylvania, USA.
The museum showcases the work of Andrew Wyeth and his family: his father N.C. Wyeth and his son Jamie Wyeth, a contemporary American realist painter.
I am delighted that they were interested in hearing a UK perspective on Wyeth, one of my favourite artists!
“My staff and I so enjoyed hearing your wonderfully nuanced thoughts on the artist. It’s wonderful that you are making an artist that is so iconic in the United States more well known on the other side of the Atlantic.” – Thomas Padon, Director of the Brandywine.
I hope to visit Thomas in Pennsylvania and see the museum’s wonderful Wyeth collection once travel is possible again.
